Ruth Alexandor
Ruth is the Practice Lead: Learning Application & Sustainment for Centred Performance. Her passion is in supporting leaders and individual contributors in learning, growth and change through individual and team coaching. With experience as a both client and coach, she has a deep appreciation in ensuring significant impact and behavioural change. Beginning with the end in mind, Ruth helps organizations to create and implement a strategy for successful return on training investment.
Clients repeatedly share that Ruth strengths include curious and a master questioner, keen listener, creating a safe space for one to express without feeling judged, reliable, patient and consistent and resourceful in providing thought provoking learning materials and relatable as a result of real lived experience as a learning leader.
K. Shawn Armstrong
As part of Centred Performance, Shawn is a life long learner, and experienced fire service professional with over forty years experience in public safety. Shawn completed twenty-six years as Chief Fire Official for two municipal fire services. Most recently Shawn concluded his successful career as fire chief with the City of Kingston Fire & Rescue (KFR) leading a diverse fire service of 300 members covering over 450 square kilometres of urban and rural areas from ten fire stations.
Glenn Asano
Glenn is a Partner and Principal Consultant for the strategy and business development practice at Centred Performance. He is a proven business leader with extensive international experience. He has a track record of building and motivating successful teams that identify and develop new business opportunities for firms seeking to grow. Glenn loves tackling the “what”, “how” and “why” questions and enjoys collecting and working with data and analysing processes to identify actionable insights. He is also an Instructor at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).
Paul Clarry
Paul is a seasoned executive with extensive planning, operations and financial experience in hospital management and the Ontario Public Service. Paul has a proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects and in transforming core facility operations and services to provide outstanding experiences to customers and to staff.
Sonya Clarry
Sonya is the Graphic/Web Designer for Centred Performance with an AODA certification. Sonya has spent 15 years in the creative industry with experience ranging from editorial, web, packaging, and branding design.
Sarah Eves
Sarah’s work in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) has been largely informed by her own identity and lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent person. Sarah is both interested and involved in the transformation of organizations, systems, and communities. Sarah is a life-long learner, activist and advocate who has a history of working with various organizations to advance gender equity and accessibility, among other EDI areas. She believes that as much as continuous learning is important, continuous “unlearning” is a meaningful – and necessary – part of impactful EDI progress.
Sarah hails from Wolfe Island (Kawehnóhkwes tsi kawè:note), the largest island of the Thousand Islands. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a focus in Psychology, from Queen’s University, and an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, from St. Lawrence College. Currently, Sarah volunteers as an Advisory Board Member (Human Resources) with the Kingston Arts Council (KAC) and works as an independent consultant for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses in the region.
Larry Graham
Larry is Founder & President of Centred Performance Inc., a consultancy focused on clients that are equally obsessed with seeking the strategies and tactics that enable their organization to develop the skills, tools and knowledge that achieves sustainable long-term growth and objectives. As Graham puts it: Centred Performance collaborates with clients to develop, implement and sustain research-based solutions, tools and programs to produce positive impact and change in attitudes, behaviours and skills designed to improve business performance.
Workshop learners frequently speak of our ability to “connect with them”, and to deftly use a mix of candour, industry knowledge, humour, relevant program content, and their real world examples to maximize learner engagement, and ensure the successful implementation and application of new skills, post-program.
Joan Lacoursiere
Joan is the Principal Consultant for Mindful Leadership at Centred Performance. She is also a physician and Founder of Learn, Grow, Heal Mindfulness; a business dedicated to training people in mindfulness practices. (Mindfulness is awareness training. Awareness is the engine behind making and sustaining change.)
As a physician, Joan has 25 years of clinical experience. For over 20 years, she worked as a family physician in a variety of settings, including the Tweed Community Health Centre, private family practice in Kingston, and Queen’s University Student Wellness Services. Her medical practice has included caring for people of all ages with complex psychological, social and physical health issues.
Wilson Li
With over 25 years of experience in managing businesses and teams in large and smaller organisations (across many diverse markets), Wilson transitioned to Executive and Leadership Coaching in 2015; where he combines his business and commercial acumen with his passion for talent and leadership development. He has now conducted over 700 hours of coaching with executives at various levels (from emerging leaders, middle management to C-Suite and CEO’s; across various industries such as banking, insurance, energy, retail, trading, hotel and ecommerce).
Typically, partnering with clients to explore opportunities such as developing one’s executive presence, personal branding, effective communications/networking/influencing, collaboration, leadership style as well as helping to find one’s true purpose in their personal and professional life.
Tara Perry
Tara provides Centred Performance with expertise in quality improvement processes with over 20 year’s experience in content application of administrative and quality assurance processes in the municipal fire service. She has been successful in institutionalizing the culture of continuous improvement, service outcomes with relevant performance data and culminating a comprehensive Community Risk Assessment and Standards of Cover resulting in national accreditation agency status.
Katie Ross
With over 15 years of combined experience in Municipal and Provincial Economic Development and Employment Ontario programs, Katie boasts a proven track record of success in assisting businesses in accessing funding and resources. She has extensive experience in working with government officials to develop, implement and support grant and funding opportunities, including employee training, retention, hiring, start-ups, business expansion and other resources available to business owners in Ontario.
Lacricia Turner
As part of the Centred Performance team, Lacricia has extensive experience in municipal leadership. Recently completing a 30 plus year career working in and overseeing various public services including but not limited to, Recreation, Leisure, Licensing, Enforcement, Customer and Administrative Services.
During her career Lacricia’s gained experience focusing in areas such as strategic planning, operational management, community engagement and partnerships, emergency management, team leadership, innovation and improvement.
