Community Risk Assessment (CRA)

SCOPE OF SERVICE
Preparation of Community Risk Assessment (CRA) compliant with requirements of Province of Ontario and the Ontario Fire Marshal regulations.

DELIVERABLES

  • •   Ready-to-submit Community Risk Assessment compliant with Province of Ontario, Ontario Fire Marshal Regulations.
  • •   Option to develop baseline performance reporting in the context of the public safety response profile.
  • •   Nine profiles that include a probability, impact, and consequence analysis while identifying linkages.
  • •   Identify the risks, strengths, and abilities of the Fire Department relative to each profile, as well as training certification.
  • •   The final CRA Report will be AODA compliant.

Fire Service Strategic Plan (Strat Plan)

SCOPE OF SERVICE
Creation of a Strategic Plan that addresses the risks, opportunities and challenges identified through the CRA. The Strategic Plan will identify goals and objectives and provide a 3- to 5-year road map for their achievement. Depending on the needs of the fire service (as identified in the CRA) and the resources available, the Strategic Plan can also include performance targets and tools/structures for implementing continuous improvement across the organization.

DELIVERABLES:

  • •   Strategic Plan document to inform Council and the public on key priorities, initiatives and outcomes for the fire service.
  • •   Gap analysis from the CRA assessment.
  • •   Plan for implementing given recommendations.
  • •   Final Strategic Plan Report will be AODA compliant.

Final Report to Council & Additional Services

SCOPE OF SERVICE
Includes a Report to Council that links the completed CRA/CCRA, a Strategic Plan, and Quality Improvement Initiatives.

OPTIONAL SERVICES:
Optional services include a Master Fire Plan, a program of continuous Quality Improvement Initiatives and a Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) Accreditation.

DELIVERABLES:

  • •   Training of staff and leaders in areas of CP’s expertise relative to a FD’s skills gaps in service, leadership, etc.
  • •   Review and recommendations on By-Law amendments required to implement fire service improvements.
  • •   Final deliverables and Reports will be AODA compliant.
